A star doesn't know how it got there,
or where it is going, or even what it is,
but it keeps on sparkling.
That's how I want to live.
No matter what, keep on shining.
I guess the above poem or quote aptly describes my current state. I personally do love Stars and anything glittery. And like the poem, it doesn't know why it's there and show is it shining for. Indeed, I am still trying to find that out too, things like life's purpose and my mission on this planet.
I got the above poem / quote from Sasha Cohen's forum fansite, from a fellow forum member named ems_loves_sasha.Women’s figure skating always has been a celebration of iconic beauties and cuties with Sasha Cohen as one of the latest new star. Other than figure skating, she does other things too, do check out her stylish website @ http://www.sashacohen.com/Pic

Off the ice, Sasha Cohen trains by practicing ballet, stretching and pilates. Hmm.. at this juncture, I would like to revive pilates, yoga, stretching.. a figment of my memory on gymnastics which I took when I was in primary school.

Is it the sauce or the unagi?
A colleague of mine is unable to comprehend why we're craving for this weird looking eel named Unagi. Is it becos they are high in protein, vitamin A, calcium, cholesterol and saturated fat? (Source: Wikipedia). He said he will always remember the unagis that we ate in his prayers and also to show more gross looking pics of Unagi to us in the future... hopefully it will change our minds & save some poor unagis at the same time...
Now now, I begin to wonder, is it the sauce or the unagi? that makes the eating them irresistible?

Hi LJ
I have posted a new entry on 06:26 pm 10 April, 2008 on my LJ site.
After posting, I went to the above site to take a look at it. Before the page could fully load up, the IE browser closes, alongside with all my other opened IE browser windows.
From as far I as I know, I did not add any funny codes.
I have no problem opening with Opera and Firefox browsers.
I have now shifted this post to my alternate Blogger site.
Why is this happening to the IE browser? Please advise!
Thanks and regards
padawan
Afternote: I removed the post and wrote this entry on LJ, and it also causes a closure of the IE browser.
And the Lord spoke!! 8)
I've attended a lecture by Lord Nicholas Stern, on The Economics of Climate Change and a Global Deal that countries gotta take on Thu, 10 April 2008. It was indeed insightful.
He spoke abt climate change and how on economic terms tat countries can reduce the carbon emission.
One way is to be efficient > less E production > less C emission
And so, during the Q&A section.. Lord Stern SNEEZED TWICE and commented that we can tune up the air con, for less C emission.
Indeed, the auditorium was COLD and his comments were a right spot at it!
On another note, we can calculate the amount of carbon we give, through inputing data like what you take to work, how much food you eat, how many appliances you use daily etc, through this Carbon Footprint Calculator!
Here's my Carbon Footprint results:
Not bad eh?! :D
This blog entry was first posted here at my alternate site, but had to be reposted here bec of some technical bugs at LJ 8)

Not been writing of late =X
Goodness, I've not been writing of late, where have I been?
I took time out to recce for electronica music, jazz music, anime and a dose of pilates. There are some songs which at first hearing it does not strike you as good but upon constant bombarding of it repeatedly, it turns out to be really good!
I'm currently stuck at the Gatsby song - it's by far the best version ever.. x)

"Sorrrryyy... Sorrrrrry.... " AGHHAHAHHAHAHAHA 8)
Well, it was 29 May, evening, on the way back towards home from work, it was raining, just about to step foot to the base of the block. And then it happened! A BIG HUGE DOG dashed out from the side suddenly, and by a strange turn of events, I slipped!
With bended knee and left hand supporting the floor and the other hand stretched outwards, one side of my hair falling gently downwards, covering a bit of my face. Quite like from a pose from Kill Bill or the The Matrix =)
Anyway, the dog was huge, was harmless coz on a leash and the owner -- there were two of them. One came closer here and said: apologetically "Sorrrryyy... Sorrrrrry.... for my dog has scared you, hope you are alright?!"
I smiled to him and went on to restore myself from the pose. I've also waited for a few hours before I got the courage to tell mom... and she laughed.. Saying a dog scared of another one!
Just could not understand why I had slipped.. Perhaps I should not have even reacted to it, but my fall gave way, it could have been caused by the slippery wet floor or the shoe I was wearing or issit the dog?
Through this incident, I have been reminded to Take Life Easy. So what if the dog was bashing out like that? It's not like straight from a 28 Weeks Later sequel or a Blood and Chocolate werewolf movie. What's so alarming to be shocked about?
Am still nursing my blue-blacks and getting an occasional strange tingling sensation on my arms..And Yes! I'm learning to take life easy...

You got 6 strange things about yourself? 8)
Well, compared to my family members, I
1. Like to Sleep
2. Like Chaos (coz there's order in them)
3. Like Listening to alternative music
4. Like Self Delusion
5. Like French Fries!
6. Like Fish!
And you know items 5. & 6. if combined, makes a very good fish and chips dish! But actually i would really love taking a fish slice bee hoon soup with french fries --- BEST!
Serviette with A Purpose 8)
Well, it was Thursday, 17 May night-time, on the way back in MRT with Bro, where I got myself a seat and Bro stood around, facing at the row of seated commuters. And then it happened! A 50plus-year old uncle puked and in that split second, the people who were seated near him slanted away from him. For me, I was seated across him, and without hesitation, I whipped up a serviette (which I used to wipe my lippie at a Jap eatery, my tissue pack was left in office) for him. Bro whipped out a pastic bag which he brings along for shopping to store the churn..
So anyway, I did not realise that the serviette found it's way to a higher purpose, and I did guessed the guy's probably was grateful with our gestures coz he kept thanking us.. we were pai sei too.. But I was most pai sei to give a used serviette, but then at that moment of disaster, any kind of help rendered is PRICELESS..

Saying Goodbye to ImCB 8)
Well after a lot of deliberation, I decided to decline to the offer. It's sad not being able to do science, I'll just have to delude myself that I am doing lab-like experiments in my present job.
Metaphorically Speaking……(does this look like DNA to u?)
that is, in that perspective or something in that effect……
Actually science is everywhere and I don't have to be in science to do it.. Those days were the best times and I do appreciate the folks who wanted me back again, to went out all the way to get me back again, to those good old days.here's a dandelion wonder…… metallic version …… :-D

Georgina SOROS 8)
My sis used to have the christian name Georgina, having remembering seeing this name written somewhere back in the old TP house. She's a financial guru and works in a finance institution. She's also very good in her maths, and especially in her stats and probability. And one fine day, I took George Soros name and her's together, and I got the feminine version
Georgina SOROS……
Later my sis told me that she used to have that name…… because all the Ah Ees have their Christian names and so she gotta have one too. And so Georgina was borne out of limited vocabulary of names. She indeed hated that name……… But now with the new assocation, she may keep it afterall……:-D

The MSN Messenger is back 8)
I’m happy to be back to the connected world.. And in the process, I found a Japanese music lover.. The display on “what I am listening to” really helps bring out the music lovers out there! Just gone crazy over NANA and I’m back to Lush radio....
Anyway, it’s a Monday, and thank goodness for the MSN recovery… Not sure how this was fixed, but I am honest to say that I do not have any virus or worm on my computer…:-D
Test your Skills! Type and Score! :D
