Remembering: Airport Duty (2004)...

I had the opportunity of "working" in the Airport as a Contact Liaison Officer to welcome key commonwealth delegates to a grand conference called CAPAM and Singapore was host for this event.

While waiting for the flights / delegates arrival, my partner Ming and I took time to trawl the "streets" of Terminal 1 & 2 and doing a bit of duty-free shopping too! Most of all, I loved the Internet Access there! Although it's just for a brief 15 mins or so, I was able to communicate to some of my friends online (one of them was mugging in the early hours too).. It provided a window to the outside world while the airport provided a window to the geographical world.

It so happens that I was brought back to this coz a friend just informed me "live" via msn that THE National Library is giving Free Internet Access in "Celebration of re-opening of national library, i-cell is providing free unlimited wireless blah blah..."

For people who need to connected at all times, this is certainly great news -- but hurry, it's for a limited time only!

Mantra: Voting is compulsory. Your vote is secret.

7 May 2006 was polling day. I took turn to be the voter and then go back to duty. And on the polling nite at the polling station, it was all peace and quiet. Voting closed on the dot at 8pm. Packed up and walked home =)

Polling results were just about the same. Same Same, but Different..

Here's an interesting comment from an individual who shall remain un-named..
